the place

Michela's Lodge

In the heart of the island of Procida, 200 meters from the pristine and enchanting beach of Via dei Bagni, you will find yourself in a lovely environment with all the comforts and safety systems. In the morning you will be awakened by the scent of lemons, freshly cut grass and the sun’s rays that lap the apartment. Available wifi connection, Amazon Prime Video, breakfast and super hospitality!

Michela is my mom’s name. My brother Andrea and I wanted to dedicate this thought to her.
I am Giuseppe and I will be, during my stay, your friend for a perfect stay! Besides me there is Valentina, my
partner. Sometimes we may not be there to welcome you. This is because we work in Naples and,
occasionally, we also try to travel to discover new places.

what to see

Sunset at Maresia

The Solarium at this hotel offers insane views over the sea, a captivating view of Ischia, and the most perfect destination to watch the sunset into the sea. We had mojitos and peach bellinis enjoyed the music and magical sunset. This spot is so romantic and the most perfect spot to enjoy the sunset.

keep in mind

Important Things to Know

Although this island is not well known by foreign tourists, this is a popular weekend getaway for people living in Naples.

If you are planning to visit we highly recommend going on a weekday to truly experience this sleepy island. However, if this is not an option make sure to book everywhere you would like to eat in order to avoid disappointment. For example, we had not booked anywhere for a Saturday night and had to get takeaway pizza as every single restaurant in the Port was full.

just wonderful

Corricella

Take the time just to immerse yourself in Local life in the Port. Every day we would walk up and down the port, sitting for coffee in the morning and people watching, gelato in the afternoons! This island is really about slowing down and enjoying the simple things so do as the locals do and enjoy the relaxed life in the port.

The village of Corricella we can only enter through the stairs. The most popular is the “stairway of the nib”, the central one in front of the church of San Rocco(15th century), in the lowest point of the homonymous street. The stair passes through a dense array of houses in the narrow passages and narrow and leads up to the pier. This staircase, as the rest of the Corricella, has provided the backdrop to many film productions. And among the houses of Corricella we can distinguish some among the hotels and the most exclusive restaurants of the island. Back on the Via San Rocco, continuing for the contrada of Callìa you arrive to track entitled to Marcello Scotti, a priest eruditissimo victim of Bourbon reaction of 1799. In this way you align some palaces with beautiful gardens, that the nobles were built in the seventeenth century style in the most beautiful part of the cove of the “Chiaia”.

Lovely space in the heart of town. Host is very responsive and helpful. A great outdoor kitchen stocked with pastries, coffee, juices and water. I would highly recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Procida (pronounced Pro-chee-dah) is the smallest inhabited island in the Bay of Naples, on the south-eastern coast of Italy. It’s one of three islands in the Bay of Naples, the others being Capri and Ischia. … But Procida is definitely worth at least 4 days of your trip to Naples.

How to get to Procida. You can reach Procida island from Naples and Pozzuoli. In Naples, ferries and hydrofoils depart both from Calata di Massa and Molo Beverello and reach Procida 1h and in just 45 mins respectively. From Pozzuoli ferries take a little less to reach Procida and you get there in about 40 minutes.

Procida is a Mediterranean gem waiting to be discovered. In addition to its famed colorful houses, stunning viewpoints, and excellent seafood, this idyllic outpost also offers beautiful beaches where you can relax, unwind, and soak up some Mediterranean sun.

Must Visit

Chiaia Beach

Chiaia – On the eastern side of the island, this is the nearest beach to Marina Corricella. It’s long, narrow, backed by cliffs, and reached by a steep staircase. It’s best in the morning as it gets shady later on.

Visit Abbazia di San Michele Arcangelo

The main sight in the Terra Murata is the crumbling church Abbazia di San Michele Arcangelo. It originated as a Benedictine abbey in the 11th century before the monks were forced to abandon it several hundred years later after frequent attacks by Saracen pirates. It became a church in 1500 and was enriched with works of art. You can also visit the catacombs beneath the church and see a rather quirky shell nativity scene.
